The Interface-Manager corrects the handicap of Unigraphics NX respectively NX Translators, which will not allow to export unsaved displays.
Suppressed or blanked components often causing problems to assembly drawings as well. Lediglich der Umweg über CGM ist gangbar, was einen Verlust von Objektinformationen (Masse, Linefonts, etc.) mit sich bringt und die Anzahl der Kurven ggf. explodieren lässt. Only the indirection via CGM is practicable, but this means loosing object informations (dimensions, linefonts, etc.) and the amount of curves can increase exponentially as the case may be.

Furthermore component-filter, once assigned, cannot be used as parameter for conversion.
Interface Manager has two approaches:
-
Interactively, fast and in an uncomplicated way a DXF/DWG, IGES or STEP is created from what you see.
- You can specify a component-filter, which defines the output.
The supplementary programming of the Interface Manager succeeds in solving both. The program works, of course, based on the UGS Translators, which are well tried and properly maintained for years. However, the Interface Manager at first is analyzing the displayed part and internally generates a substantially leaner copy to be processed. This technique actually meets WYSIWYG respectively the strategy of component – filters.
It’s not in the scope of the Interface Manager to substitute the translators, but is sets up upon them and is offering an easy-to-use utility to meet frequent demands.
Features of the Interface Manager:
- Works interactively und in batch-mode
- Real WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get)
- Support of component-filters (also in batch-mode)
- Outputs IGES, STEP, DXF/DWG. Easy configuration!
- Processing via CGM Processing via UG2D
